How we started
Mayo YR Epoxy Custom started in Tampa doing what most coating companies do, until we noticed how much of our work was tearing out somebody else’s failed floor. In most cases it was not cheap product. It was floors laid over slabs that were never properly prepared.
Built around the unglamorous half of the job
So we built the business around preparation. We grind every slab mechanically, moisture test before we put a number on paper and repair cracks and joints properly instead of skimming over them. It makes our quotes a little longer, and sometimes it means telling someone to wait for a slab to dry. It also means we are not the ones being called back to redo our own work.
The crew that quotes is the crew that installs
We do not use subcontractors. The people who measure your floor and write your quote are the people who grind, repair and coat it, and who walk the finished floor with you at the end. We work across Tampa Bay, seven days a week, and we speak English and Spanish.
